Types of smoke vents

Smoke vent with straight base:

  • single-leaf vent, type C (squared)
  • single-leaf vent, type E (rectangular)
  • double-leaf vent, type DVP (squared / rectangular)

Smoke vent with skewed base:

  • single-leaf vent, type NG-A (squared / rectangular)
  • double-leaf vent, type DVPS (squared / rectangular)

CE marking

  • Re300 or Re50 – operational reliability during 300/50 cycles of opening and shutting to smoke venting position, and 10 000 cycles to ventilation position (double function flap),
  • WL1500 or WL750 – operational certainty of flaps under wind stress equivalent to 1500 Pa or 750 Pa (depending on type, size and accessories),
  • T(-25) or T(00) – resistance of flaps to low temperature of -25°C or 0°C,
  • B300 or B600 – resistance of flaps to high temperature of 300°C or 600°C (depending on type and accessories),
  • SL – operational certainty of flaps under snow load N/m2
  • multifunctional: smoke exhaust, daily ventilation, supply of daylight
  • wide range of dimensions

Technical description of standard

  • straight base of height 300 mm or 500 mm made of galvanized sheet of 1.25 mm thickness
  • circumferential strip in the upper part of base, made of galvanized steel sheet, used for fixing roof work,
  • leaf glazing: multi-chamber polycarbonate panel, acrylic dome, solid polycarbonate dome, surface panel, multi-chamber polycarbonate panel and single or double-layer acrylic dome or solid polycarbonate dome, multi-chamber polycarbonate panel with aluminum envelope cover and glazing of BROOF (t1) class
  • optional increased active smoke exhausting area (Acz) through the use of wind deflectors and/or inlet deflector
