The mcr Omega pro power and control unit for control of fire protection equipment operated in heat and smoke control systems is intended to provide control, power supply and monitoring of the operation of equipment installed in heat and smoke control systems, including the following: jet, smoke exhaust and pressurization fans, comfort air exhaust and comfort air supply fans, fire dampers, smoke venting windows and dampers, fire doors and gates, smoke curtains, comfort and fire ventilation dampers, louvers, detectors,  transducers,  reed relays, switches, call points etc.

 

Power and control unit capabilities:

  • manual alarm tripping with manual smoke venting controls
  • automatic fire detection with smoke detectors
  • fire alarm system output handling
  • fire alarm relay
  • system fault data relay
  • alarm resetting and smoke damper closing
  • operating status monitoring for interfaced devices
  • manual smoke damper opening for building ventilation
  • automatic smoke damper closing if open and venting air (if connected to a weather control station with a rain and wind sensor)
  • interface connectivity with visualization HMI systems and building management systems (BMS) over Modbus RTU (RS485): see the data communication parameters in the respective instruction manual

 

The mcr Omega pro power and control unit features an integrated fire equipment power supply unit type mcr OMEGA pro or mcr OMEGA prof (with load transfer switching).

 

These capabilities of the mcr Omega pro power and control unit can be enabled depending on the building design and fire scenario requirements; hence all functionalities can be enabled or any combination thereof.
